BeePilot — Intelligent IoT Beehive Monitoring System

About the project

BeePilot is an IoT system for beekeepers that turns a hive into a connected device. Instead of driving to the apiary on a hunch, the owner sees on their phone what's happening in every hive — around the clock.

The challenge

Beekeeping is fieldwork, often far from the apiary. A drop in hive weight, a temperature anomaly or swarming can go unnoticed until it's too late. The system had to measure hive condition and alert before a problem grows.

What we built

• Sensor modules in the hives — temperature, humidity, weight, activity.
• Data transmission to the cloud with real-time aggregation.
• Dashboard showing the condition of each hive and the whole apiary.
• Alerts sent when parameters go out of range.
• Trend analytics to support beekeeping decisions.

The outcome

The beekeeper gains constant insight into the apiary without daily trips and reacts to problems in real time, not after the fact. AgriTech that genuinely saves time and reduces losses.
